Old Town is one of Staten Island's original neighborhoods and dates back to 1661. It was first settled by European immigrants from Netherlands and France. Present day, it's a vibrant community to many nationalities and ethnic groups. It's borders with Grasmere to the north, Dongan Hills to the south and west, and South Beach to the east. Old Town has it's own train station, and offers local commuters numerous bus options on Hylan Blvd and Richmond Rd. Homes in the area are a mix of older colonials, ranches, capes, and some newer townhouses and semi-attached homes.
